The Department for Children Schools and Family has produced a new booklet providing guidance on employing children. It is important to check the byelaws made by the local authority where the employment is to take place as there are variations among authorities  This section gives advice on employing children with regard to Age, Permitted Working Hours, Schooling,  Rest breaks and other relevant topics.
